Reset Cookies


Dialing
This field lists the telephone number your terminal is currently dialing to connect to MSN TV service.

Connection Speed
This field lists the speed of your connection to MSN TV service. Your connection speed is measured in bits per second (bps).

Call Waiting
This field tells you if the call waiting feature is turned on. Call waiting is a service provided by your phone company that lets you receive incoming phone calls while your phone line is in use. If you subscribe to a call waiting service, you can set your terminal to disconnect from the Internet for incoming calls.

To do this:

  1. Log on as the Primary user
  2. Choose Settings from Web Home.
  3. Choose Dialing.
  4. Choose Call waiting.
  5. Choose the box next to Accept calls.
  6. Choose Continue.
  7. Choose Done. If you are unsure whether or not you have call waiting installed on your phone line, contact your local phone company

Client Version
This field will display the current version of Client software you are running on your receiver. Client software contains the latest features and functionality updates for your Internet receiver.

Cookies
Cookies are electronic packets of information that a Web page gives out to visiting Internet users. Cookies have many uses, the most common of which lets Web pages offer custom information to their visitors. For example, while viewing a specific Web page, you may be asked to provide your name and a few comments about your personal interests. The next time you visit that page, you may be presented with a welcome message that includes your name and content specific to your personal interests.

In this field, you can view or reset your cookies. Resetting your cookies can improve the performance of your terminal, specifically when surfing the Web. Before you select the Reset option, we highly recommend that you use the View option to see a list of the cookies you'll be resetting. Please note that resetting your cookies may impact access to Web sites or Web site features.

Notes:

  1. If an error screen appears, please press Continue.
  2. After you have selected Reset Cookies, nothing will appear to happen.
  3. You must power off and on your terminal to see the results.
  4. Your cookies will be deleted once you choose the Reset Cookies button. It is not possible to delete individual cookies.
